RUBY AWARDS

The Ruby Award recognizes women who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls. Honorees are women who have worked to improve the lives of other women or girls. Their work has had a significant impact and also inspires and encourages other women.

The Ruby Award for women helping women, honors the first Federation President Ruby Lee Minar. The ruby is a gemstone believed to promote loyalty, compassion, wisdom, vitality, strength, power, and love: All words embodying the Ruby Award recipients. Two local women were recognized this year.
