Ruby Award

The Ruby Award recognizes women who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls. Honorees are women who have worked to improve the lives of other women or girls. Their work has had a significant impact and also inspires and encourages other women.

Star Awards

The STAR Awards recognize exceptional students during the very demanding junior year.

SIPA Nursing Scholarship

Soroptimist International of Port Angeles established a nursing scholarship in 2019 honoring two former members, Helen Mangan and Rose Crumb. The Dr. Al Mangan family had donated a generous bequest which the club members chose to use toward a scholarship. Rose Crumb was a valued member of the SIPA as well as an incredible asset to our community.

High School Scholarships

Soroptimist International of Port Angeles-Noon Club selected eight Port Angeles High School students to receive $1,000 academic scholarships. Student scholarship notebooks are evaluated based upon academics, leadership, school activities, community service, awards received and student employment. The students were honored on June 5, 2026, at Joshua’s Restaurant.

Molly Beeman will spend fall semester studying in Florence, Italy then continue studies at Mount St. Mary in Los Angeles. Beeman will prepare for a directing career through her major of film/communication.

Anna Delacruz plans a career as dermatologist by studying pre-med at Washington State University.
Bryce DeLeon will study engineering while playing college level baseball.
Maya Garrison is pursuing a biology degree at Western Washington University after completing a course in
cosmetology.
Lily Ana Robertson earned her high school diploma and an A.A. degree this spring. This fall she plans to
continue her education in pre-veterinary science at Colorado State University.
Evelyn Seelye will begin her education at Peninsula College then transfer to Western Washington University to
major in marine biology.
Zoey VanGordon earned a high school diploma and A.A. degree this spring. She plans to prepare for a
veterinary career at College of St. Mary and continue bowling at the college level.
Thomas Woods is attending Peninsula College this fall to pursue a transfer degree then continue his
engineering studies at the University of Washington.
